MLI in The Marker's "Most Influential"

The Mandel Leadership Institute (MLI) has been named as one of the most influential educational institutions in Israel for the year 2011. The annual list of the "100 Most Influential" people and organizations in the Israeli economy, compiled by The Marker magazine, this year ranks at number 12 a select group of institutions active in Israel's education sector, including MLI. According to The Marker: "As the Institute's graduates continue to take up a variety of positions in the education system, so its influence continues to grow."

Another among the nine stand-out institutions named in the list was The Center for Educational Technology (CET), directed by Mandel graduate Gila Ben-Har. CET is an Israeli nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of education in Israel, in the Jewish world, and around the globe.

In related news, Mandel Leadership Institute faculty member, Dr. Ayman Agbaria, was named by "Ha'Ir" newspaper as one of the most influential people in education for the year 2011. Agbaria is one of the founders of the Pedagogic Council for Arab Education, has lead teacher training projects for the Arab sector, and was one of the writers of a report about Arab society submitted to the Trajtenberg committee. He is currently developing plans to make the Mandel Leadership Institute more accessible to Arab educational leaders.
